Context
De Marchi, established in 1942, is a leader in high-quality fresh and frozen products. From the cultivation of fruits, vegetables, and greens to the production of a wide range of frozen foods, the company serves both the domestic and the international market. With a focus on innovation and excellence, De Marchi entrusted us with the task of designing new packaging for their Fresh Pasta line.

Development
Our goal for this project was to create packaging that conveyed the artisanal and fresh qualities of the product, alluding to the comfort of homemade food while simultaneously reflecting the sophistication and Italian heritage of the brand.

To meet this challenge, we combined elements that balanced both these ideas in harmony. The product name, "Fresh Pasta," is rendered in an elegant script, paired with a textured sans-serif font that highlights the product’s handcrafted nature.

We incorporated stripes into the design and also a kraft-paper-inspired brown tone to give the packaging a rustic, comforting feel. A light blue accent adds a sense of freshness. We also illustrated all seven types of pasta in the line, placing these illustrations prominently across the top of the packaging. To ensure easy product identification, we included a window that, along with the name, clearly displays the type and flavor of the pasta.

Each product claim is highlighted distinctly while maintaining a clean visual hierarchy on the front of the package. On the back, we applied the same attention to detail, ensuring the packaging is visually engaging from every angle and the information is organized clearly, offering the consumer a practical and intuitive experience.
